Description
What is that?
Cargo Cult Banana Spiced. Bananas from North Queensland are added to the rum, which is flavored with spices and fruit through maceration. The base is formed by rum matured in the tropics from two distilleries in the South Pacific, one near Lae in Papua New Guinea and the other on Fiji.
In this rum blend, spices such as cloves, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla and bananas from North Queensland are then added by hand in small batches to create a wonderfully balanced banana spiced rum-based spirit. The result is a real discovery and a great pleasure without any added sugar or artificial flavors.
What do you do with it?
Anyone who has been following pHenomenal Drinks since the early days will know how much we still miss Meermaid Rum, an outstanding spiced rum from our friend Stefan Walz. The Cargo Cult Dry Spiced and also the Cargo Cult Banana Spiced are pretty close and a worthy replacement in our Dark & Stormy.
