White rum? But Veritas has a slight coloration?! – And this is where the truth comes into play: Veritas shows what white rum actually looks like! Veritas does not use activated carbon filtration, which ensures that white rum is completely clear. In addition to dispensing with filtration, Veritas also dispenses with the deceptive addition of sugar.
Veritas is a blend of aged and unaged white rums from two distilleries with cult status, the Foursquare Distillery from Barbados and the Hampden Distillery from Jamaica.
Foursquare uses traditional Coffey Column Stills, while Hampden uses double retort pot stills. The choice of distilleries shows that Veritas does not want to compromise, only high quality rum finds its way into the bottle. A white rum that can also be enjoyed neat.

The aroma reveals vanilla, honey, coconut blossom sugar, white chocolate, mirabelle plums, quinces, some pineapple, banana and subtle meadow herbs. The palate is dominated by sweet tones, coconut blossom sugar, marzipan, vanilla and, above all, white chocolate. These are joined by fruity notes, albeit not quite as intense as on the nose. Fine spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg round off the taste. The unusually long finish once again reveals vanilla and white chocolate.
What do you do with it?
First of all, this white rum is so fine and complex that it’s fun on its own at room temperature,
but we also like to drink it with ginger beer or make really outstanding daiquiris with it.
Ginger Veritas (Pale & Stormy)
20 ml pHenomenal Ginger Syrup
40 ml Veritas White Blended Rum
100 ml sparkling mineral water
Splash of lime juice
Serve in a highball glass over ice cubes
Daiquiri
60 ml Veritas White Blended Rum
30 ml lime juice
2 tsp fine cane sugar (crushed)
Shake over ice cubes and strain into a chilled cocktail glass
