The Hoos Lapsang Gin, which Heiko Hoos distils in extremely small batches of only 120 bottles each in Karlsruhe, complements the harmonious composition of the Hoos London Gin with the very special smoky note of Chinese Lapsang Souchong tea. We think this is a very special approach that stands out from the crowd of gins and is also very popular with friends of Islay whisky.
To be honest, we don’t think it’s an ideal partner in a gin & tonic, but in combination with pHenomenal Ginger it’s an incredibly exciting and completely new taste experience. A kind of “East Asian Mule”.
East Asian Mule
100 ml sparkling mineral water
20 ml pHenomenal Ginger Syrup
40 ml Hoos Lapsang Gin
Splash of lime juice
Serve with ice cubes in a highball glass
