Since 2013, the team at Altonaer Spirituosen Manufaktur has been distilling founder Stephan Garbe’s love of Portugal in their GIN SUL. Juniper, lemons and the resinous lacquer cistus from the Costa Vicentina are married at Altonaer Spirituosen Manufaktur to create Stephan’s very personal expression of ‘saudade’. We met Stephan and his Gin Sul two days after the distillery opened, poured our two drinks into the same glass and realized how perfectly they complement each other to create an outstanding Hamburg gin & tonic.

20ml pHenomenal Tonic Syrup
40ml Gin Sul
Serve over ice cubes in a pre-chilled highball glass.
Sprinkle with a twist of lemon or orange.
